Dove' la vittoria?

Two things dude: First off, the best national anthem is Fratelli d'Italia. Secondly, Celine Dion was not in Titanic, she just did the theme song, Kate Winslet (a brit) was in the movie and if I remember right she was the one who let go of Leo (although that part I'm not as sure of).

What is the all time best original theme song for a movie? It doesn't necessarily have to be a "theme" song provided it's original and you can make a good argument.

Yesterday's winner: I'm feeling very literal today. I've got to give it to Michelle as far as shit that comes from Canada.

Michelle:
The geese.... they shit all over the place

The Jurassic Park theme. If I could conduct one song in my lifetime, it would be this John Williams masterpiece. I get tingly-jinglies when I hear it.

Any of the songs from South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut. I realize we just chose that as the best TV adapted movie, but you can't deny the soundtrack is pretty damn awesome. I really can't choose the best song - they're all so great. And what's even better is that each time you watch the movie, you pick up new things that you hadn't noticed the 50 times before.

My two other favorites would be the theme song from Requiem for a Dream. I bought the soundtrack because of this song, but the name escapes me. There are no words, but anyone who's seen the movie would know what I'm talking about. It's so intense and beautiful.

My other pick would be any song from A Mighty Wind. Got that soundtrack too - not bad at all!

The Godfather Waltz. Nino Rota's classic score is chilling while evoking an old-world charm. The first few notes are instantly recognizable, and brilliance is in its simplicity as it gradually builds from the dark, slow, almost murky origins, slowly bringing other instruments into the score as it builds up steam. The song is simply a classic.

Honorable Mention:
-- The John Williams "Exacta": Star Wars and Indiana Jones -- Both classic, readily recognizable tunes
-- "Gonna Fly Now" -- Rocky Theme -- The great motivator of all movie theme songs.

-- "Top Gun Anthem" -- Just because I can...

Star Wars.

I mean , brilliant theme, and the fact is, anytime you hear the 20th Century Fox music, the next thing you expect to hear is the opening bars of the Star Wars theme. It's one of the most iconic pieces of music there is.

EYE OF THE TIGER! SURVIVOR! ROCKY III!

Without this song, I believe professional sports would not be the same. Whether that's a good thing or bad thing, that's all up to you.
In addition, your question asked for the best theme "song"...not theme music! that gets rid of any musical score (star wars, jurassic park, etc.)
If I did have to pick a particular score, it would have to be the theme music from Edward Scissor Hands. When Winona is dancing in the snow, that scene with the music always chokes me up.
