The Jets won one

In the sports category:

Well the Jets moved to 2-8 on the season with a win that even they couldn't give away, although they did try, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. My question for you is, will the Patriots put up triple digits on the New York Jets in two weeks as a way of taking revenge for the video-taping debacle earlier this year? Or will it just be a very high two digit number?

Thursday's winner: Matty

5)Crystal Ball - Keane
4)Look After You - The Fray
3)Blizzard of 77 - Nada Surf
2)Blacking Out the Friction - Death Cab for Cutie
1)Home - Foo Fighters

I feel like all of these somehow capture the mood and beauty of a crisp winter morning. One of my favorite things about BU was the days when you would walk out to a bright blue sky and a light frost. You put in your iPod and there are invariably those songs that you feel like you just have to listen to that day. That is one of the things I will never forget and one of the many things I love about Boston and BU. If I was going to make that walk right now, these songs would have to be in a playlist to throw on for the walk to class.

My list: Avoiding Matty's top 3, all of which would have made my list

5) What is Your Secret - Nada Surf (They turn out entire albums that you can listen to on a winter morning...I could avoid using the same song as Matty, but I couldn't avoid putting Nada Surf on my list)
4) English Girls Approximately - Ryan Adams
3) Radioman - Feeder
2) Don't go Away - Oasis
1) Angel in the Snow - Elliott Smith

it's gonna be like 66-3.

I think it depends on speed of scoring. If the Jets can manage to slow down the Pats and make them run 4-5 plays per drive, that's about 1:30 per TD drive. Figure the Jets run the ball twice, throw once, and punt every time giving the Pats great field position, that's about a minute. So every Pats TD is in about a 2:30 span, or 2 every 5 minutes to make it easier to do the math. That will allow the Pats to put up 94 points. If you include the special teams and inevitable interceptions for TD's because, well, it's the Jets, I'm putting the final as 108-0 Pats. I'm sorry, Ray. I'm just glad the Broncos don't have to play them because we suck (though Pats fans should be terrified of this since they couldn't beat the Broncos when Jake Plummer was our QB).

Yeah Matty, the difference with those Bronco teams was that the defenses were actually good. Not so much right now, and certainly not enough that they'd handle the Pats this year.

As much as it pains me to say it, you're right, Nick. No one is going to beat the Pats this year. On a related note, if you told me at the end of last year that the Pats were Randy Moss and Wes Welker away from going 19-0 I would have said you were full of shit. And here I am hoping my Broncos beat Tennessee tonight to make the playoffs just to get piss pounded. Awesome.

That's all I care about.

This is a very late reply but I'm putting it in anyway since you haven't updated since.

The Patriots are going to use this game to take revenge on the Jets for Videogate, and since I didn't get to watch the first game and you IM'ed me to let me know how my team was a bunch of big cheaters...when the Pats are mopping the field with the Jets I will be calling you just to let you know that the Pats are winning and make sure you aren't trying to commit suicide.
